KICK IT OUT ‘PLAY YOUR PART’ INTEGRATED CAMPAIGN
EVERFI UK
Challenge
Kick It Out needed a campaign to encourage young people to engage with conversations around misogyny and sexism. The campaign needed to work consistently across digital channels and educational resources while remaining engaging and accessible for a younger audience. The subject matter required a tone that respected teenagers’ intelligence — serious enough to be taken seriously, without alienating a younger audience or feeling preachy.
My Role
I led the visual design and art direction, creating a cohesive campaign identity and designing assets across email, digital, social and printed educational materials. Directed the tone and visual system for a topic where getting the balance wrong — too soft or too heavy-handed — would have undermined the campaign’s credibility with both students and educators.
Collaboration
Worked closely with campaign stakeholders and content teams to translate complex educational messaging into clear, engaging visual communications.
Outcome
Delivered a flexible campaign toolkit that could be adapted across multiple channels while maintaining a consistent visual identity. The campaign’s approach to presenting a diverse society positively while challenging misconceptions was praised by educators ‘I really l like how the key focus theme is celebration - present a diverse society as positive, but also challenge any preconceived views and address misconceptions’ said Rehana Akudi, head of PSHE, West Yorkshire
